The wave of change

How many of we do really care about what we do, to ourselves, and to the world?
Do we use a water level indicator to prevent overflow of water?
Do our homes have a rain water harvesting plant?
Do we have saplings and water them daily?
Do we walk on the footpath or on the road? Do we drive on the footpath or on the road?
Do we use the indicators in the vehicle while taking left or right turn? Do we use hand signals to halt or while taking U turn?

How many of we do really care? It’s a let go attitude. Others are not doing it, why we! is the attitude. But people forget that we are one among that “others”, as we are others to others.
Do we turn off the lights and fans while leaving the room? Turn of the TV, AC, Oven? Unplug them? Naaaaaaaaah how many of us do it! If we don’t care, who will care?
We often hear people talking that, as the group does, so do I. Why follow the blind queue? Break the queue and leave a trail. A saying goes like this: what if the world is against me and I alone? Just turn to the opposite direction, and lead the group. That it! Many people get into the “Group effect”, which makes people do what they may actually not do individually, or what they cant do or what they don’t want to do.
How many of us wait for others to do and follow later? Do we wait for the neighbor to buy a Honda or Mercedes or a blackberry? We buy it and they envy us. Why not do the same here? Being ignorant and acting ignorant has a major difference, and one major difference is not acting which is equivalent to crime.

One of my professors told me the difference between an Educated and a literate. Now I can show him a whole lot of people. One who knows is a literate, but only he who acts on it is educated, as he is the real one who can take right decisions about what to be done, why, how, for whom etc.

I still have a strong feeling that sooner this will happen and people are more responsible from their side and do what has to be done and not what must not be!
